Karlovy Vary is one point on the West Bohemian spa “triangle”, with two other spa towns within just 30 minutes’ reach: Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně. The region has many monuments and sights to see, castles and chateaux (Loket, Bečov, Kynžvart, Seeberg, Teplá, Cheb), pilgrimage places at Chlum and Maria Loreto, and a host of natural beauties: Slavkov Forest (Slavkovský les), the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory), and the Doupov Mountains (Doupovské hory).
